Soundcat performs a DJ/VJ mix mining breakbeat hardcore music from the 90s rave era and beyond. This is set to original visuals created by Soundcat, which explore psychedelia, referencing demoscene graphics and high-tech surrealism through an irreverent mix of hand-painted 8mm film and computer animations. The performance is strongly influenced by the Jon Weinel’s research regarding altered states as discussed in the book Inner Sound.
