yes, but casio ef-x1 doesn't as far I remember.

Okay... just saw that I made myself look silly... I for some reason had only read the first page of posts in this thread and not realised someone had already mentioned the Casio EX-F1.

The 60 fields per second HD recording mode means, I'm supposing, 1920x1080i (30 frames per second), and not 1080p.

If you can be satisfied with only one second of footage, though, 60 frames per second at high resolution (6 megapixels) is pretty impressive!

For discussion on high(er)-end high speed digital video, I believe that some systems allow you to "bring your own hard drive" - plug it in, fill it up (record directly to your drive), take it home and deal with the vast volumes of data later.

I got tired of this conversation going back and forth so i went out and did something.

here is a clip shot today in the park on the EX1 at 60/30 fps which after conforming to PAL then slowing down in after effects has an acceptable slo mo of 288 fps.

we will be getting our shit together this weds at the regular meet/booze up.
we have plenty of kit. ideas, hands and models is what we need help with...


on that point, the EX1 is solid state, so we will need to regularly dump to disc while shooting. anyone who wants to take footage with them when they leave, will need to bring a mac compatible HDD and will need the XDCAM codecs to work on the content. otherwise it can be re-rendered to some other form but this will all take time...
it would be handy to have someone willing to help manage the data as its created.

seems like a really interesting action going on.
