Marta S. Ortega’s career started in 1992 in Spain as a radio announcer and singer in rock bands. After her studies at the Stable Center of Training of Performing Arts, she traveled to Finland with her musical project “Martáfora”. She works as a entertainment producer and songwriter.

 

Show Concept

On stage, a set of machines and computers, a microphone and a screen, build the scenography. Chica Fábrica, inspired by the world of women in the History, shows her special vision of life through her powerful tools: the music and the visuals.
This is a personal challenge for the artist, who perform on the stage, alone, at the helm of the creative and the technical part in this Live Act.

Seb is a prolific producer, and using analogue synths and drum machines builds tunes on the fly accompanied by synchronised visuals created through cinema 4D and ran through Resolume.

Using Elektron synths, the Virus and live instruments Seb builds an intricate and rhythmic beat – having played an AV set for last 3/4 years he is now running the music through analogue hardware for the last few months as his new project.

D-fuse

D-Fuse are a London-based artist collective who work across a range of media. Founded in the mid-1990s by Michael Faulkner, D-Fuse’s output encompasses installations, film, experimental documentary, photography, live cinema performances and architectural projects. Beginning in graphic and web design and VJing, D-Fuse’s work has evolved to address social and environmental themes and explore collaborative processes.

Besides work with groundbreaking musicians from a wide range of genres including Steve Reich, Beck, Hauschka, Scanner andSwayzak, much of D-Fuse’s output since 2004 includes sound and music by audio director Matthias Kispert.

Their work has been shown internationally, including SFMOMA, WRO Festival [Wroclaw], Prix Ars Electronica [Linz], Sonar [Barcelona],onedotzero Festivals, Eyebeam and TriBeCa Film Festival [NYC], MU and STRPFestival [Eindhoven], Lisbon and Valencia Bienniale, Moscow Architectural Biennale, and many others. The D-Fuse-edited book VJ: Audiovisual Art and VJ Culture was published by Laurence King in 2007.

‘Masks of Light’, is the latest project and AV set created exclusively by Aszyk.

It has been put together after several years of crafting and tinkering with different visual styles and processes to create a set of visuals that stand out from other visual sets.

‘Masks of Light’ takes the viewer through a series of abstract landscapes, changing the mood along with the music. Throughout the set, intricate, pattern-like creatures appear in time with the music, pulsing and evolving in a hypnotic way.

Technically, the set has been pushing the fringes of AV syncing – using a variety of methods from standard MIDI through to more complex OSC routings to get all the elements to sync perfectly when they hit the beat or rise up to a drop.

The result is something that is dazzling both visually and audibly – a set that demands attention through it’s boldness. Oh and look out for the BirdMask too..
