I was wondering if anybody his renting out slide projectors in this forum. I needed one last week and I borrowed one from a friend which wasn't working very well. So, I had to do a last minute rental from a Calumet, which charged me about Ł40 for one day rental including insurance. I thought it was a bit expensive because I only needed it for 30 mins. Does anyone have one for future reference.
Edit: you're unlikely to ever get hire for less than one day's rental im afraid. But speak to Brendan, his prices are V reasonable and he's a really nice guy.
in general, people charge a day rate because they can only work one job a day.
same with kit.
while you have it, no one else can hire it so its charged out for a day even if you switch it on for ten seconds.
