I just removed more than 10000 spam posts (mostly about enlarging penises and buying anti-depressants), hope I haven't removed some real content by accident. Forum should work fine besides of that.

Actually it made ~480 spam posts suddenly appear in the RSS feed.

rss should show You last [some amount] posts from chosen topic, so it didn't show You the real amount of shit-content
to write posts on forum You have to get through simply test and later on go through web address to confirm Your account is real. At least 10 accounts were manually created to start spamming via scripts. It's just sad that people are taking so much effort for such pointless activity...

Again, spam attack, this time I removed something around 4000 posts and 200 fake accounts. Harsh lesson learnt: Open Source Software IT IS security vulnerable. Without access to the source code of the phpbb forum this wouldnt happen, as this time it was exploiting internal forum mechanisms, rather than just lack of captcha.
That sucks man. Can you disable account creation alogether?... or is this attack not even going through the account creation system?

Overally seems like facebook took over most of the "social" forums on internet and big "decline of interest" can be observerd everywhere... I'm still keen to keep website, as I belive FB it's temporary communication tool as MySpace / IRC / ICQ was.
