hey mates, so i was in the states about a week ago to see my friend who lives over there and he took me out to a club inwhich there was a resident vj.
he lives in the midwest and this guy was so terrible that i had to look him up and share.
he goes by bleepbloop, and it was just laughable what he was trying to push off a vj set.
the content was if you taught a 3 yr old with sauralpalsy tripping on dmt that broke his hand before spinning. lol javascript:emoticon(':oops:')
i was told he makes his own animations, and that's cool but his content was so unpolished it was painful to watch. there was all types of digital grain, cheesy effects, everything you'd expect some daft american clubhead to shit on about the antiquity of the scene.
i hope america isn't trying to pass this off as credable vj work...

I would say de gustibus non est disputandum, some people might actually enjoy it - You know Retro is the new cool...



Everyone did some rubbish laughable stuff at very beggining. Some people work hard and are really good after time passes... and other people dont get the idea of "progress", as they are awesomely amazing whatever they do in their egocentric narcistic mindstate. Good starting point is to make your own clips, as sampling pieces from the movies / videoclips / advertisments will get you nowhere -this guy already seems to know it.

Cronton I have no idea why are You so upset about this guy that You are posting this as well to other vj forums. Your action makes no sense at all, unless You actually are mr bleepboop and try to grab some attention or really sad and frustrated person.

I didn't get as well Your post about destroying the scene - shall we all still listen to advice of mr Ebeneezer Goode and be forever young? the get-over-it-fact is that everything is dynamic - world is changing, music is changing, technologies are more and more developed - You can't stop that.

Anyway, I went through most of movies of mr BleepBoop and some of them are actually not bad at all - stop motion clay animation, hand drawn illustration... those are very demanding and time consuming techniques so I guess this guy (You?) just made his vjing looking like that for purpose of his artistic vision. I have seen much worse things with "vibrant colours" and "dancing gals"

I have a feeling that You Mr. Shicknner are nothing more than just another incarnation of Mr. cronton / Mr. Bleepboop. Talking to yourself is the first level of awesome.

ewww god... no, that is ignorant, i'm just trying to pass on that this isnt acceptable, i mean this scene is about love of the movement not bloody violent headbangers and moshers! i grew up with this movement with tiesto and oakenfold i dont want to see it moving so violently, and im not even gonna respond to shicknner.

maybe what hes doing take alot of effort but its still gross and not helping the movement.

I'm curious to know what the "movement" that you talk about is, it sounds like tired commercial trance to me. You're "old skool" you say, sure, Tiesto is properly old skool innit!

And by the way the visuals scene is healthier than ever. Pop your head to LPM next year if you are genuinely interested.
