I'm Tim from north London.

I'm a relatively novice VJ with only 3 gigs under my belt.

I'm using Livid Union + Livid midi controller + MacBook Pro.

I use only my own clips, created using Adobe After Effects + Illustrator.

I am working on a project to tell the story of 'Animals of Farthing Wood' through a live-mixed performance. So far I have the owl & badger animated.

My weak point with VJing is live mixing. I look forward to reading some of the back-catalog of the forum to try to learn more about good practise, and different types of software.

I am looking for opportunities to collaborate with you guys too.

I think You can find more technical advices / faq stuff on http://vjforums.com - the biggest international vj forum. We here are just small local communicaty focused more on events and meetings, by definition we don't want to compete with vjforums.

What I would suggest is look for some other software - as far as I rememeber livid union is really simply one. Try modul8, resolume avenue - the most popular on mac. You can add very big amount of "composition" in realtime, and You still can use your livid controller with them.

@neon I will look into the other forum and thanks for the tip. Union suits my needs for the moment but I will very soon be looking into the interactive side of VJing, which for me is as yet unknown.
