We are a new London-based multinational 9-piece band, playing something in between progressive rock, pop, jazz, experimental musical with a bit of electronics, cello and harp:) Weve just recently recorded our first album, due to be released in September this year, with a guest appearance of renowned British multi-instrumentalist Stuart Hall, playing violin, banjo and guitar on it.
As we get more and more gigs coming up, weve thought that it would be really cool to have someone putting different images/fragments of films/some abstractive shapes behind us live while we play. It cant be something completely random though, as we want the visuals to be somehow connected to the songs we play in this or the other way. Thats why you would have to probably have some rough ideas about what more less you would like to be showing and prepare them before our first gig with you (you would have loads of time for that if youd want). Then obviously you could be improvising, playing around with these images, ideas as I think most of the VJ-s do (and we love changing songs on stage or when something unexpected happens on gigs).

As for the money, at the beginning we wont be able to pay you much, because if you divide even some decent amount of money for the gig in London per 10 band members there wont be much left. On the other hand, together we could be playing on many more events or new media, audio/visual, digital, etc. festivals around the UK and Europe, as something a bit more interesting than just an average 4-piece guitar band with background images and these gigs are mostly paid well, besides we would be able to travel more. Another thing is that soon we will start applying for grants from Arts Council, Sound & Music, Jazz Services and many other government and non-government organisations, institutions as well as private sponsors to get any funding possible to be able to keep this project going on. Not to mention constantly submitting our demo to record labels, publishing companies, etc. So we have a quiet few options where to get the money from which hopefully will happen soon.
