University College London has been selected by the Royal Anthropological Institute (RAI) to host their 12th International Festival of Ethnographic Film:

I'm a lecturer in Digital Anthropology at UCL. Along with a colleague in my department, I will be co-directing the event, which will likely be held 24-26 June on the UCL Bloomsbury campus. Though a number of additional events have been proposed, screenings of ethnographic and documentary films will take up the bulk of the activities during the day.
However, we have proposed that there be a series of late afternoon or evening follow-on presentations by London VJs. While not a VJ myself, I have an interest in the art and craft, and would love to introduce the vibrant community of London VJ to the eclectic academic and documentary film audience likely to be in attendance. I suspect that VJ and ethnographic film could harbor some very potent intellectual synergies! Our intention is to connect with interested parties and through preliminary discussion determine spatial, technical, and other requirements and constraints.
While the event has guaranteed funding both internally and from the RAI, we are also seeking additional "public outreach" funding in the hope that some compensation might be offered to participating VJs. However, if you have an interest in performing in front of an international, high-profile audience at one of the largest events of its kind in Europe (we are expecting on the order of 500 fee-paying attendees), please contact me directly at l.denicola@ucl.ac.uk . Given sufficient interest, I could arrange to rendezvous with prospective participants at a near-term local VJ event (perhaps one in which you are performing!) to discuss the concept in further detail.
