Dark Fibre host onedotzero AV performances

onedotzero teams up with the BFIs Dark Fibre - their all -new AV club night -
to present an evening of live audio-visual performance. Come explore a space
where moving image and music meet and play: expect jaw dropping visuals,
thundering bass and a healthy dollop of crunchy beats.
Septembers edition of Dark Fibre includes acts giving a very special attention
to moving images, as seen and heard throughout onedotzeros screenings
and interactive programs.
Saam Farahmand headlines the night with his Video Portrait performance,
a premiere so far only seen by hip LA crowds. A prodigious young filmmaker,
Saam just graduated from Goldsmiths in 2002 to now become one of the most
sought after director for art, music, fashion, television, performance, internet virals,
and documentary projects.
His first spell of music videos won him the 'Best Director' prize at the 2007 CAD
Music Video Awards, as work for Klaxons, Hercules & Love Affair, Simian Mobile
Disco, Lightspeed Champion and Soulwax defined a time and have brought his
work to international acclaim.

Sharing the bill of extraordinary performers is Zan Lyons, a London based composer
best known for his uncompromising live shows fusing live viola with frenetic distorted
beats in conjunction with real-time remixing of his own filmic creations.
Zan is a second-generation Trinidadian of Asian and African descent. Hes recently
been seen opening for the likes of Venetian Snares, Battles and Clark as well as
collaborating with electro legends Leila and Alec Empire.

Up and coming UK electronica duo Yimino warm up Dark Fibre with an up-tempo sound,
as heard on their first released EP Doe, featuring a remix of Plaid. Yiminos live
performances invest as much in music as in visual, with custom projections by Stuart
Sinclair and Phil Skins. Since their formation Yimino have performed at the Queen
Elizabeth Hall, Late at Tate Britain, Jelly Festival and Electroconference in Germany.

DJ, producer and club promoter Kid Blue will keep the party going, with his wide
selection of breaks, techno, dubstep and house killer tacks. He first came to
prominence with a residency at the legendary Technique night in Leeds, then
Chew The Fat!, mixing genres together in ways few had heard before. Kid Blues
first single Nothing To Lose, picked up support from many top DJs including
Laurent Garnier, James Zabiela, Pete Tong and Annie Nightingale.
