I am glad to announce that Electrovision, London's most inventive visuals event, is returning to its old home, The Roxy Bar and Screen on Saturday the 23rd of May from 8pm-1pm.
Special guest Ben Sheppee, who is known for developing the independent label 'lightrhythm visuals', is performing his groundbreaking live audiovisual act av∞ion. This explores several themes relevant to modern society; discretely raising concerns and posing solutions through a three screen audiovisual installation. Designed by Ben Sheppee, and scored by audiophile Fred Moth - this is the premier performance of this dynamic new unit.
This month's Electrovision also features Motion graphic designer Paul Mumford [Labmeta], with a new solo attempt to create a feature length audiovisual performance. Paul will present Autometa, the story of a corporation, one that we see running a sinister machine, that operates upon the people of the city, taking their dreams and hopes, harvesting them and selling them around the world in a global economy.
Micromattic who are an artist collective will be presenting a groundbreaking new concept for stage presentation of electronic music and visuals. They manipulate sound and images through movement with Nintendo Wii controllers, voicefeedback and beatboxing.
Tom Wall aka blinkin LAB, is performing a live adaptation of his audiovisual short films.
In addition we will be treated to a retrospective of motiongraphics designer Amoeba [theestateovcreation] and a live AV set by dub KULT.
