I work for an event company and for the upcoming new year's eve party we would like to do a projection mapping of an indoor stadium's ceiling. We are thinking to use two projectors placed about 40 meters far, covering a projection area of about 22mx12m for each projector. We are going to use Madmapper+modul8. Yesterday we made an on the spot inspection and with a 2000 ansi lumens projector we had enough luminosity to have a mapping test, even if it was not very strong and the room completely dark. In your opinion how many ansi lumens you think we need to have a sharp mapping? (considering that the ceiling is nearly white). Do you think that artificial smoke used for special effects is going to spoil the projection? How could we solve it?
