I am nearly finished with my fine art degree and have my degree show coming up and in recent months I have been interested in creating an interactive art installation which allows the viewer to press the keys on a keyboard to change the display on a computer screen.
what I am after is an easy to use vj software that is preferably free(being a student and all), and isn't overly memory intensive as the computer I am intending to use will be relatively old,I have a variety of old laptops ranging from windows 95 to windows vista or a desktop using windows xp media edition.
i have been doing some research and a mac appears to be the perfect tool but I don't have the finances to buy a MacBook.
All I want the software to do is trigger pre programmed video's using a computer keyboard as the midi controller then output that to a computer screen.
Please if anyone can advice I would be extremely grateful :)
