SOUND on VISION 16-11-08

I was waiting for this post before I had a reason to register at vjlondon ; )
I've met few of you, but none of you had a chance to see much my works yet (aside from neon, trotula and visualchemy who know me from times when I used to vj a lot).
Ship Factory is first of two audiovisual projects I am currently involved with. It is a cooperation with Marek Zygmunt, an experimental musician, video and conceptual artist, who has invested a huge deal of resources into creating a set of av recordings (including renting some proper audio recording kit, and gaining access into soon-to-be-closed-yet-still-operational shipyard), which we used to create a base for the project. We've been playing improvised ambient/experimental concerts since 2003 as Zet Square (Zet Kwadrat), and it is our second fully audiovisual project (first one was about railway). We output two independent video streams, and there is no distinction between audio and video performer - nothing from dj vs vj bag of tricks - we both do audio and video. To spice things up we use some old-school hardware sequencing and less then 40% is pre-sequenced, the rest is live.
At SoV in october most people seemed to utilize "I'm not playing - I'm not coming attitude", which was a bit sad to see. I hope this time it will be better, you might not have a chance to see that performance in london again any time soon ; p
