Hi there. Just starting to learn about VJing after seeing what can be done - some amazing stuff out there ;)

Couple of questions, firstly, is it okay for noobs to come along to the London meetups, just to talk and learn (emphasis on the latter!)?

Also, are there any one-day courses or similar I can do in or around London to get me more familiar with Resolume?

Just don't wave your fingers around near his mouth and you should be fine.

Is there any particular reason you're interested in Resolume? You can download a lot of packages for trial, so it might be worth checking a few out.

If you have a Mac, Modul8 seems to be excellent (just ask Mowgli, remembering to keep your hands close to your body...)

I'm only interested in Resolume as this is the one I'm currently doing best at. Downloaded a few demos and Resolume seems the most intuitive to me. But I will ask some people at the meetup... Thanks!

Well, since you've already had a play with a few, that answers the question. :o)

By the way, if you're already playing with it, I don't think a course is going to help you any. Maybe make you poor, but not really help. ;o)

You will get the most out of it by tinkering yourself and trying out more and more clips, different combinations, etc.

I think the new Resolume (v3?) uses hardware acceleration, which the old one didn't, consequently running like total rubbish if anything else even thought about happening at the same time on your machine.
