Just a quick reminder about tomorrow night, Friday 22nd... Come and join us for Addictive TV's free outdoor Southbank extravaganza up on the roof terraces of the National Theatre in London!
There'll be huge projections visible across the Thames and the weatherman says it's going to be dry! :o) ...the Guardian Guide, choosing the event in its pick of this week, have said "Addictive TV continue to take hip-hop's scratch philosophy into the cyberpunk age the night should be an artclash to remember."

This is the fourth year running Addictive TV have thrown this summer bash at the NT, and last year, the London Evening Standard chose the event as one of it's Top 5 gigs to see that weekend and Time Out in their preview said "make sure you get there before 10pm, because their show really does stop traffic!".

I wasn't really sure what to expect, but was expecting to be blown away by this gig. I arrived late, which probably wasn't great, but I don't think I missed anything.
What I did notice was shockingly bad sound. Loud, but bad. Maybe too loud (depending on where you were standing), not handled properly by the speakers (or other equipment?), hence leading to cringe inducing badness.
From what I saw it was mostly filmclip and movieclip mashups, where the audio from the clips was also mixed for the sound. Evidently a lot of work has gone into it, but it wasn't really my cup of tea for an extended period, though I did like the clips from the old 'The Italian Job' with Michael Kane.
