We’re currently working on a theatrical adaptation of Tarsem Singh’s film The Fall and are looking for a Technical Director to work with us on the show. We have a couple of 20-minute previews going up in Camden at the beginning of June, and the show is very projection and animation heavy.

We're looking for someone to take the lead on the technical side of things, including projector-work (stitching, rigging, knowledge of equipment) and sound design for the production.
The final version of the show is going up later this year, but we need someone to join us as early this week to prepare for upcoming previews.

Below is a link to our Kickstarter campaign which ended successfully a couple of days ago. As a
result, this is a paid position – please contact me at tarzanimojane@gmail.com or message me here to register your interest and get more information.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Additional Info:
I am in need of a programmer to either adapt an existing API (An example is included in the bottom of this post) or develop a new platform for live face replacement for an art installation. The viewer’s face will be captured via webcam, and the facial features (eyes, nose, mouth) must be tracked on and blended into the pre-existing footage. Snapchat’s face replacement feature is exactly what I want to achieve. There will be several different angles that the faces must be tracked onto, and in some shots several people who the viewer’s face must be mapped to symotanously. Experience with Syphon is a plus; if the output from the stream can be a Syphon output for use in VDMX for live color correction and effects that would be beneficial.

I have played around with this C++ API – http://face.ci2cv.net/#download which is open source, and very easily tracks a face and transfers its emotions to a pre-existing mask. It would need to be modified to map the eyes and mouth of the video input to another face and blend them seamlessly.

For this project time is of the essence. I have less than 3 weeks to complete it. Please send an estimate of total cost for this project, and what the major challenges you could foresee in this project.

Jobs, Opportunities

Abandoman

Date:
This is a bit of an unorthodox request for VJ’s in that it’s not for a single date and it’s to be part of developing a new comedy music show.

Location:
The development side would happen in London in May and the show would run for pretty much all of August in Edinburgh at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Music:
It would be collaborative and reacting to a freestyle hip hop comedy show, where we take suggestions from the crowd and create songs about them.

Fee for VJ:
The fee all in would need to be discussed but would be very obviously in the 500+ category if both development and shows were to be part of the deal.

Publicity for VJ:
For publicity, you’d be credited in our online literature and at the end of the show. Any other elements can be discussed.

Travel Expenses:
Accommodation:

Travel expenses and accommodation would be paid for.

Equipment Provided / Needed:
Projectors would be provided. You would be responsible for computers, etc.

The stuff that we’re looking for is going to be a bit like this: https://youtu.be/xw2KOav7UBc?t=7m31s
(words are shifting about in time with the music, not so much the use of a piece of news footage)
or more relaxed stuff like earlier in the same video – https://youtu.be/xw2KOav7UBc?t=5m2s

It’s more images that are moving in time with the music than lots of moving video.
